Residents Invited To Weigh In On Future Of Arch Street Building

The building at 100 Arch St. previously housed the Arch Street Teen Center.

GREENWICH, CT — A public hearing has been scheduled for June 15 on the future of the building at 100 Arch St., which previously housed the Arch Street Teen Center.

The hearing will be held in the Town Hall Meeting Room from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by the Arch Street Task Force, and will give residents a chance to weigh in on how the building can be reimagined or repurposed.

"With its proximity to our treasured waterfront at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, which has hosted some of the most popular events in Town, this is invaluable property and we want to determine the highest and best commercial and community uses for it," First Selectman Fred Camillo wrote in his recent community newsletter.

"The community is invited to share its thoughts on the future of 100 Arch Street, including its connection to the waterfront and park," Camillo added. "Come and share ideas on potential community and commercial opportunities that could help this special place serve Greenwich for generations to come."

The Arch Street Task Force, which was formed in January, will present previously developed park designs and other concepts for discussion, Camillo noted.

"This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and we want to hear from residents on it," he said.

The building is now vacant after the teen center's lease expired on Dec. 31, 2025. The nonprofit, which is now located at 255 Field Point Road, filed a lawsuit against the town in January claiming it was locked out of the building.

A second public hearing will be held, with more information expected in the future.

The June 15 public hearing will also be streamed online via Zoom.
