All Roads Open, Power Restored In Greenwich

All roads are now open in Greenwich following several closures due to downed trees on Saturday.

Update, 10:50 a.m.

GREENWICH, CT — All roads are now passable in Greenwich after crews worked most of Saturday to clean up downed trees, according to an update from Greenwich police

Heavy winds and cold temperatures swept through the area Friday into Saturday. Police said there were several full and partial road closures, and debris on streets around town.

There are still areas with partial closures. Crews will be out Sunday cleaning up remaining debris.

Power has been restored to every customer in Greenwich. At one point Saturday, there were over 260 customers without power.

Temperatures are expected to warm up a bit on Sunday after two days of extreme cold.
