Round Hill Volunteer Fire Company To Host Annual Oktoberfest Event

GREENWICH, CT — The Round Hill Volunteer Fire Company (RHVFC) will host its annual Oktoberfest-themed community event at the Round Hill Community House on Friday, Oct. 25, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The event will honor the volunteer firefighters at RHVFC and the community it serves. The fire company will also be celebrating the impending groundbreaking for RHVFC’s firehouse renovation and modernization project. All proceeds from the fundraising event will be earmarked for the volunteer firehouse’s operations.

Construction fencing is being installed and groundbreaking will begin immediately thereafter. The modernization of the firehouse is expected to be completed by fall 2025.

The event is open to the Greenwich community and tickets are available for purchase online.

RHVFC is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and all donations to the fire company are fully tax-deductible.

RHVFC’s Fire Chief Sharon Strain encourages people to "come out, bring your friends along for an unforgettable authentic Bavarian Oktoberfest, complete with beer (and wine), bratwurst, pretzels, a Bavarian-style band, and an incredible auction. It’s going to be a great party!"

Guests are encouraged to wear their lederhosen and dirndls to celebrate the volunteers of the RHVFC.

Tickets are available at four different levels, ranging from Honorary Fire Chief to Honorary Firefighter. Everyone attending will receive a commemorative Oktoberfest beer mug and other Round Hill merchandise will also be available.
