SBA Administrator - And Greenwich Resident - Linda McMahon To Speak At Darien Event Oct. 20

The Darien Chamber of Commerce breakfast event will be held at the Country Club of Darien.

DARIEN, CT — Small Business Administrator Linda McMahon will be the featured speaker on Oct. 20 at a Darien Chamber of Commerce breakfast event at the Country Club of Darien on Mansfield Avenue, organizers announced.

The event, sponsored by First County Bank and co-hosted by Darien First Selectman Jayme Stevenson, begins at 7:45 a.m. with a buffet breakfast, and McMahon is scheduled to speak at 9 a.m. In addition to the Darien Chamber, other participating organizations include the Norwalk and Wesport-Weston Chambers of Commerce, as well as The Business Council of Fairfield County.

McMahon, a Greenwich resident and former CEO of Stamford-based World Wrestling Entertainment, is the 25th Administrator of the Small Business Administration, and CNBC writes that she is planning to make the organization more efficient and raise its profile despite cuts to its budget.

Tickets for the Oct. 20 event are on sale at www.darienctchamber.com, $40 for members and $50 for non-members. Seating is limited, and pre-registration ends on Oct. 16 at 5 p.m.
