School Crossing Guard Jobs Available In Greenwich
Police said full-time and substitute school crossing guard jobs are currently available in Greenwich.
GREENWICH, CT — Police said Thursday full-time and substitute school crossing guard jobs are currently available in Greenwich.
In an announcement, police said crossing guards ensure the safety of children and pedestrians crossing the streets before and after school by regulating the flow of pedestrian and vehicular traffic. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Crossing guards work 45 minutes per shift and each school day has two shifts, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Crossing guards are paid $21 per shift, or $42 per day, when called, according to police.

According to police, qualifications for crossing guards include:
- Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle
- Must be able to pass a physical (paid for by the Town of Greenwich)
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must have a phone
