September Fireworks Show In Greenwich A Great Success: Camillo
Could a September fireworks show in Greenwich become an annual event?

GREENWICH, CT — When Greenwich had to cancel its annual fireworks show in July because of inclement weather, many residents took to social media to voice displeasure at the decision.
Unable to secure a rain date for later that month, the town decided to schedule Labor Day Weekend fireworks at Binney Park and Greenwich Point Park.
During Thursday's board of selectmen meeting, Camillo said the shows went off without a hitch and were very popular, so much so that a September show could become an annual event.

"Lots of people came by and remarked that they liked it better than in July," said Camillo, who noted the cool weather on a September evening. "It was really fun."
Camillo wondered if next year the town could put on a Fourth of July fireworks show in Greenwich Point, and have a show Labor Day Weekend at Binney Park, rather than the traditional two shows in early July at both venues.
