Several Events Cancelled In Greenwich With Heavy Rain In Forecast
Hevay rainfull and high wind gusts are expected to impact the area this weekend.

GREENWICH, CT — Several events in Greenwich have been cancelled this weekend due to the forecast of heavy rainfall and high winds.
First Selectman Fred Camillo in his weekly newsletter said the town is monitoring the weather system that could bring 2.5 inches or more of rain with wind gusts as high as 40 mph, especially on Saturday.
The men's and women's town golf tournaments at the Griffith E. Harris Golf Course have been cancelled and rescheduled to Oct. 7.

Adopt-a-Dog has cancelled its highly anticiapted Puttin' On The Dog event, and the international coastal cleanup at Greenwich Point Park has been cancelled as well.
A new date for the coastal cleanup will be announced when it becomes available.

Camillo advised residents to sign up for the town's emergency alert system to stay informed on updates. He also suggested to keep an eye out for more event cancellations throughout town.
