Several Roads Closed In Greenwich Due To Flooding: Police

Heavy rain is moving through the area on Sunday.

GREENWICH, CT — Heavy rain is moving through the area on Sunday, and several roads in Greenwich are closed as of about 9:30 a.m.

Flooding is also being reported on I-95 southbound between exits 6 and 5. One lane is currently open.

According to police, here are the current road closures:

  • 220 Henry St. — Full Road Closure
  • 1 E Weaver St. — Full Road Closure
  • 1 Benjamin St. — Full Road Closure
  • 7 Benjamin St. — Full Road Closure
  • 49 Mallard Drive — Full Road Closure
  • 90 Sound Beach Ave. — Partial Road Closure

There are hazards on the following roads:

  • 1 Bolling Place
  • 1 Jones Park Drive

Police urged caution and advised residents to avoid flooded roadways and seek alternate routes when necessary.
