Something Natural Thrives In Greenwich This Holiday Season
People throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties and beyond are flocking to the Greenwich Something Natural for fresh bread and cookies.
From Something Natural: GREENWICH, CT — Something Natural, the Nantucket sandwich and bakery shop that has been on-island for nearly 50 years, has always been a favorite destination for New Englanders who visit the island. With the opening of Something Natural in Greenwich, devoted fans in Fairfield and Westchester Counties are now able to enjoy the shop's trademark oversized sandwiches on house-baked Portuguese bread, as well as a variety of other fresh breads year-round.
"Nantucket is a wonderful vacation destination that I have been going to with my family for years, and we have a deep emotional connection to the island, to the beaches, to the main street, and to the businesses we have come to know and love," said Seth Hirschel, owner of the Greenwich location. "And I'm not the only one who feels that way. There are a lot of people who travel from many different communities to Nantucket for the same reasons."
The most important thing for Seth and his wife Molly in bringing the brand off-island was to bring the spirit
of Nantucket to the Greenwich community with easy access from surrounding towns. "Part of the spirit of
Something Natural on Nantucket is that it's off the beaten path," said Molly. "So we found this building
which was off the main drag in Greenwich, but still walking distance. It had a similar historic feel to the
Nantucket shop." Once they saw the building, Seth and Molly knew right away that it would become the
second home for Something Natural. Already, the store is seeing people from throughout the two-county
region, all along the I-95 corridor from as far away as New York City coming into the Greenwich location.

This holiday season, people throughout Fairfield and Westchester Counties are flocking to the Greenwich
Something Natural to take home the shop's fresh bread and cookies. Many customers will give the gift of
a loaf of the beloved Portuguese bread or challah for the holidays. Soups have been added to the menu
as the days grow colder, as well as a special hot turkey sandwich topped with homemade stuffing and
cranberry sauce called "The Stroll" – a nod to the famous Nantucket Christmas Stroll weekend when
visitors return the island for one last festive weekend before most restaurants and hotels shut down for
the winter months.
Luckily for fans of Something Natural Nantucket this year they can enjoy the bread, cookies and
sandwiches all year round.
