Spring Festival of the Arts in Old Greenwich
The First Congregational Church of Greenwich partners with The Art Society of Old Greenwich for a weekend of art and music, May 1-3.
The First Congregational Church of Greenwich’s First Music and Arts Series will add visual arts to their community offerings when they partner with The Art Society of Old Greenwich for their annual Spring Festival of the Arts, May 1-3. This is a wonderful opportunity to experience the fabulous talents of our local artists. The artwork will be on display in the church’s Auditorium and Meetinghouse Friday evening through Sunday afternoon, and the weekend features several outstanding musical performances. The full schedule includes:
Friday, May 1 – Gala Art Show Opening & Concert
6:00 pm: Gala Art Show Opening, Art Society of Old Greenwich. Wine and cheese reception in the Auditorium.
8:00 pm: Chamber Music Concert – Serio Divertimenti; Marcia Eckert, piano; Monte Morgenstern, clarinet; Peter Prosser, cello; Lisa Arkis, flute. Tickets $25
Saturday, May 2 – First Church Festival Chorus & Orchestra Concert
8:00 pm: Mass in C and Choral Fantasy by Ludwig van Beethoven; Cullan Bryant, pianist; Dr. Craig Scott Symons, conductor. General Tickets $25, Preferred Seating $35
Sunday, May 3 – Rock of Ages: Hymns for the Soul
4:00 pm: Rock of Ages: Hymns for the Soul; Jolie Rocke Brown, vocalist; Joel Martin, piano. Tickets $25
