Woman Accused Of Driving 125 MPH On I-95 In Greenwich: Police

A BMW was seen "traveling in an erratic manner" at approximately 125 mph on Interstate-95 in Greenwich, according to CT State Police.

GREENWICH, CT — A Stamford woman was arrested early Friday morning after state police said she was driving 125 mph on Interstate-95 in Greenwich.

The woman, 31, was charged with reckless driving, a misdemeanor, and released on a $500 non-surety bond.

Shortly after midnight on Dec. 15, a CT State Trooper monitoring traffic on I-95 northbound in the area of Exit 4 in Greenwich observed a BMW "traveling in an erratic manner," state police said in a news release.

After determining the car was traveling at approximately 125 mph in a posted 55 mph zone, the Trooper pulled the car over and arrested the woman after a brief investigation, state police said.

The woman was taken to Troop G in Bridgeport where she was processed, charged and later released. She is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Jan. 5, 2024.
