Start Date Announced For Glenville Corridor Traffic Improvements
Drivers should anticipate periodic lane shifts and detours in work zones, according to the Greenwich Department of Public Works.
GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Department of Public Works has announced that construction on the Glenville corridor traffic improvements project will begin on March 31.
A major infrastructure project, DPW says the improvements will reduce congestion, improve air quality, and enhance safety for motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians traveling along the Glenville corridor. Upgrades will include widened roads, new sidewalks, new traffic signals, realigned crosswalks, and more.
Additionally as part of the project, 36 decorative light poles valued at $252,076 will be installed. Earlier this year the Greenwich Representative Town Meeting night approved a gift for the light poles from The Belpointe Foundation.
