Stranded NASA Astronaut To Speak With Christ Church Greenwich

NASA astronaut Cmdr. Sunita Williams and Capt. Barry "Butch" Wilmore have been aboard the International Space Station since last June.

GREENWICH, CT — Residents will have a unique chance this week to hear from one of the NASA astronauts who has been aboard the International Space Station since last June.

Christ Church Greenwich will hold a live Zoom call and a Q&A session with NASA Astronaut Cmdr. Sunita Williams, who has been on the ISS with fellow astronaut Capt. Butch Wilmore for an extended period due to technical difficulties with their Boeing Starliner spacecraft.

The event will be held in person at the Christ Church Greenwich Parish Hall and via a livestream on the church's website on March 6 from 3:15 p.m. to 3:45 p.m.

Williams, a retired U.S. Navy captain, will discuss how she and Wilmore have coped with their extended stay in space and how they have found silver linings in challenging situations.
