Suspect Arrested In Greenwich Bank Fraud Case: Police

The Bronx, NY man was busted at a Chase Bank on West Putnam Avenue.

GREENWICH, CT — A 40-year-old Bronx, NY man was arrested on a host of forgery, identity theft and related charges on Monday after he attempted to make a fraudulent withdrawal from a Chase Bank on West Putnam Avenue, according to Greenwich police.

How much money Dulani T. Lomax allegedly was trying to withdraw was not disclosed, but police said he tried to use a fake ID in the noon incident.

Officers who were called to the scene on a report of the attempted transaction found a fake driver's license and a fake credit card in Lomax's possession.

He was charged with:

  • Forgery, second degree
  • Forgery, third degree
  • Criminal impersonation
  • Identity theft, third degree
  • Criminal attempt at larceny, sixth degree

Lomax was held in lieu of bail of $2,500 and is due to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 28.
