GREENWICH, CT — A 27-year-old former Stamford resident was arrested by Greenwich police this week in connection with a December 2018 sexual assault in which the suspect allegedly pretended to be a ride share driver in order to kidnap and attack the victim, according to authorities.

Henrry Odilio Revolorio-DePaz, formerly of Scofield Street in Stamford, was extradited to Greenwich on Tuesday from Kansas City, KS, where he was most recently residing. He was charged with second-degree sexual assault and second-degree kidnapping, and was held in lieu of bail of $250,000.

According to Greenwich police, on Dec. 16, the victim reported being sexually assaulted after she used an unnamed ride-sharing app to hail a ride from a Stamford bar to her vehicle in Greenwich.

The victim had gotten into what she believed was her ride share and later discovered that the driver, Revolorio-DePaz, was not who she thought he was.

Greenwich police said that Revolorio-DePaz drove the victim to her vehicle, but before she could get out, he allegedly sexually assaulted her. She was eventually able to leave the scene and contact authorities.

"Investigators from Greenwich Police conducted a canvass of the area in Stamford and were able to obtain security camera video of the victim entering the suspect's vehicle," stated Greenwich Police Capt. Robert Berry. "After sharing information from the investigation with other law enforcement agencies, a suspect was developed from past similar incidents. The vehicle was subsequently identified and its owner was identified as a suspect. Physical evidence from the scene was forensically tied to the suspect."

Greenwich police obtained a warrant for Revolorio-DePaz's arrest, who is also wanted by Stamford police on sexual assault charges.

Revolorio-DePaz is scheduled to be arraigned in Stamford Superior Court today, March 27, and his next court date is scheduled for April 10.

The case remains under investigation, and anyone who believes they have been sexually assaulted by the suspect (or by anyone else), is urged to contact the Greenwich Police Special Victims Section at 203-622-8030.

"Victims of sexual assault may also contact the Rowan Center, a sexual assault resource center, in Stamford at 203-329-2929 for support services and consultation," Berry said.
