Suspect In Fatal Greenwich Overdose Found With More Drugs: PD
He was found with narcotics stashed in his rectum, according to police.

GREENWICH, CT — A suspect accused of supplying the drugs in a fatal Greenwich overdose was extradited from New York this week, and while in Greenwich police custody he was found to be hiding more drugs in his rectum, according to authorities.
Queens, NY resident Daniel T. Linfante, 44, was arrested on a warrant this past December and was charged with first-degree manslaughter in connection with the fatal overdose that occurred at a unnamed Greenwich hotel in September of 2018.
Extradition took more than three months, but Linfante, who had been in custody in New York since his arrest, was finally transferred to Greenwich on Tuesday.

"While in GPD custody Linfante was observed removing a balloon that had been secreted in his rectum which was found to contain suspected narcotics," wrote Greenwich Police Capt. Robert Berry in a statement. "Linfante was subsequently charged with Possession of Narcotics (21a-279a)."
Initial tests of the found narcotics indicated that it was cocaine, according to police.

Linfante was held in lieu of bail of $250,000, and he was scheduled to be arraigned in Stamford Superior Court on Wednesday. His next court date is scheduled for April 9.
