Teens Steal Friend's Grandmother's SUV And Wreck It: Greenwich PD
They barely got a mile from the house before they crashed into a wall and rolled it over.
GREENWICH, CT — Two 16-year-olds were arrested on larceny, burglary and criminal trover charges on July 16 after they allegedly stole the 2015 Lexus RX350 of a friend's grandmother in Greenwich and crashed it into a wall about a mile away from the house, according to Greenwich police.
The two teens, whose identities were not disclosed because of their ages, took the vehicle from the garage of the woman's Indian Head Road home just after midnight.
No injuries were reported in the crash, but smacking into the wall resulted in the SUV catching fire and becoming engulfed in flames.
