Temporary Assistant Principal Named For Greenwich School
Cindy Boucard has been named as the leave replacement assistant principal for Parkway School in Greenwich.
GREENWICH, CT — Superintendent Toni Jones announced this week the appointment of Cindy Boucard as leave replacement assistant principal for Parkway School in Greenwich. She began the position Monday.
In a statement, district officials said Boucard will hold the position through at least December for Jeffrey Libby, the school's assistant principal. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
"Cindy will be a great addition to the Parkway School community in this temporary role, given her background in special education and her leadership roles both in our central office and at our schools," Jones said in a statement. "I look forward to seeing the value she brings to the school and its students."

As assistant principal, Boucard will "support supervision and evaluation of staff, facilitation of the special education process, maintaining a safe and welcoming school climate and advocating on behalf of all students," district officials said.
"I am excited to join the Parkway family," Boucard said in a statement. "I look forward to supporting students, faculty and families as we embark on this new school year and work together through these unprecedented times."

Boucard most recently held the role of special education teacher for New Lebanon School in Greenwich. She has also held interim roles with Greenwich Public Schools that have given her unique leadership experience, including interim assistant principal at New Lebanon School and as a maternity leave replacement for a special education coordinator at the district's central office.
Boucard has also worked in the district's summer school program as both a teacher and a site coordinator. Prior to joining GPS in 2012, she began her educational career in Bridgeport as a special education teacher.
Boucard holds degrees from Albertus Magnus College and Sacred Heart University.
