These Are The Top 100 Schools In Connecticut For 2018: New List

Niche.com, which specializes in all different types of rankings, including schools, has created a new list that is a bit different than the usual lists the company is known for. In this one, Niche has ranked what it says are the top 100 schools in Connecticut.

That may not sound different than Niche's usual rankings but this list includes both private and public schools and also includes elementary, middle and high schools all in the same list.

It’s clear that Niche prefers private schools. The first 19 spots are all reserved for private schools. The first public school to crack the list is New Canaan High School at No. 20. The first elementary school to crack the list is at No. 35 and the top middle school doesn't make the cut until No. 45.

It is important to remember that every school on this top 100 list receives either an A+ or an A for an overall score from Niche.

Of the top 100 schools in Connecticut, Niche concludes 34 are private schools. Nineteen public high schools made the list along with 38 public elementary and 11 public middle schools.

Niche’s methodology is based on an analysis of academic and student-life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, and feedback from Niche.com users.

It’s also very clear that Niche is a big fan of schools located in Fairfield County, followed by Hartford County.
