GREENWICH, CT — A thief smashed a window at the Cos Cob CVS Pharmacy on the Post Road early Thursday morning in an attempt to get to the store's ATM to steal cash, the second such occurrence at a Greenwich CVS in the past six weeks, according to police.
The ATM was damaged in the incident, but whether any cash was taken was not disclosed. The investigation is continuing, and Greenwich police is studying surveillance video for more information.
On Jan. 4, thieves smashed a rear window of the Greenwich Avenue CVS in a similar attempt to steal cash from the ATM inside the store, but were unable to crack it open, according to authorities.
