The 2024 Greenwich Town Party Ticket Lottery Is Now Open

GREENWICH, CT — Even though the temperature is dropping and winter is fast approaching, residents can begin to think about warmer days ahead and the Greenwich Town Party, which is scheduled to take place on May 25, 2024, at Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.

GTP organizers on Thursday announced that they have launched the ticket lottery for the popular community event. The lottery gives everyone an equal opportunity to apply for general admission tickets and senior tickets (65-plus).

Greenwich residents, business owners and employees can enter the lottery through Dec. 15 by submitting a lottery waitlist request form, which can be found on the GTP website.

The form will collect contact information, the number of tickets requested, along with credit card information, which will be securely stored with GTP’s third-party ticketing partner, Front Gate Tickets.

Lottery winners will be randomly chosen from the lottery waitlist submission pool and notified in mid-January. No preference will be given to the date/time of submission within the open period.

Once the winners are notified, their credit card will be charged for the exact number of tickets requested, and they will receive a confirmation of the purchase. If a winner declines or opts out, the tickets will be available to the next person on the waitlist.

Consistent with its mission and policy since the party’s inception, GTP tickets may only be purchased by Greenwich residents and employees. All submitted applications will be verified for Greenwich residency or employment.

The cost of Community tickets remains $85 per ticket, and senior tickets cost $25 per ticket.

All children must have a ticket to attend the event. Tickets are free of charge for children 12 and under, and must be included when the lottery waitlist request form is submitted.

Additionally, GTP Neighbor passes, which will remain at $500 per person, are also on sale beginning Thursday on the GTP website.

Sponsor passes will also be available Thursday at $1,500 per person; multi-year and multi-person packages are also available.

Neighbor passes provide unlimited access to the Houlihan Lawrence Neighborhood Area with wine, beer and catered food throughout the day and evening, as well as designated parking.

The Sponsor level offers unlimited access to the Sponsor Tent with catered food and a full bar throughout the day and evening, and premier parking in the Island Beach Lot located directly across from Roger Sherman Baldwin Park.

The GTP mission is to create an annual event where multiple generations come together to celebrate town pride through live music, local food favorites, and family-fun activities.

Traditionally held on the Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, the GTP has successfully grown over the past decade to become one of the most popular and eagerly anticipated community events in Greenwich, and tickets have historically sold out very quickly.

Since 2011, the GTP has hosted some of the biggest names in music, including Billy Joel, Eric Clapton, The Eagles, Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, John Fogerty, Zac Brown Band, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, The Revivalists and Buddy Guy.

Performers on the Main Stage and Town Stage will be announced in 2024, GTP organizers said Thursday.

An IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the GTP is privately funded through generous contributions from residents and businesses, and, in part, through ticket sales. In the spirit of mutual generosity, the GTP encourages everyone to contribute as much as they can so the ticket price can stay the same. One generous Greenwich resident matches all contributions, and seventy-five percent of the cost of each Community ticket is generously funded by individual and corporate sponsors of the GTP. The GTP has no cost to the Town of Greenwich and is not funded by taxpayers.
