Tiny Tots Features New Boutique Sale To Support Junior League Of Greenwich And The PositivelyMe! Program

From tinytotsconsignment.com: GREENWICH, CT — The Tiny Tots Kids Consignment Fall 2017 Sale will run Tuesday, September 12, through Saturday, September 16 at a new location, the Old Greenwich Eastern Civic Center (90 Harding Rd in Old Greenwich). This year Junior League of Greenwich was chosen to be the nonprofit partner during a first-ever "Boutique" shopping event onWednesday, September 13, from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

The PositivelyMe! program at Junior League of Greenwich will receive 100% from money raised through ticket sales. Advance tickets are $20 and can be purchased through the Tiny Tots website, the entry fee increases to $25 at the door. "The Junior League of Greenwich is thrilled to be chosen as the nonprofit partner during the first ever 'Boutique' shopping event at the Tiny Tots Kids Consignment sale," said Junior League President, Debra McLaughlin.

She continued, "The Junior League applauds the work of Annie Schreck and Mary Slaugenhoup that benefits the families in our community. We encourage all families to come see the amazing items for sale at the Tiny Tots Kids Consignment event for those making room for the next stage of their child’s life."

The special event will feature like-new and gently used items for babies and children up to 12 years old from higher price point brands. "We have a growing demographic of shoppers that are consigning boutique style merchandise. To highlight those items, we came up with the idea to launch a one-night-only designer Boutique fundraiser", said Tiny Tots Co-Founder, Annie Schreck. She continued, "Unlike our past diaper drives, where we donated products and 100% from entrance fee to Mother's for Others and Kids in Crisis, this year we're also including a boutique with designer brands and making the event more of a "night out" with wine tasting by Putnam & Vine (www.putnamandvine.com). As always, 100% of proceeds from our entrance fee, which increased this year, will go to our nonprofit partner."

Similar to consignors and volunteers, special event attendees are able to shop the sale before it goes public. Boutique night also provides shoppers an opportunity to support community in addition to advanced access, to a wide variety of maternity and children's items that are discounted up to 90% off, before the new mom and public sale. "The selection at Tiny Tots is really great, I found the brands I want at unbelievable prices", said Gady Alcantara Gallagher, a Westchester-based mom. She continued, "This event is a MUST for anyone making room for the next stage in their child's life by consigning or shopping for items they need at bargain prices! My family, friends and I love that Tiny Tots also gives us an opportunity to help other families during one of their shopping nights. I'm really looking forward to this year's Boutique sale on Sept 13th!"

Schreck, a Greenwich resident, and her sister Mary Slaugenhoup of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania co-founded Tiny Tots in 2011, making the fall 2017 sale their eighth. Since the first Tiny Tots sale in a basement of a church in Stamford, Connecticut. Since then the semi-annual event has exponentially grown in size and outgrew its former location at Greenwich Catholic School. Slaugenhoup explained why Tiny Tots started partnering with charitable organizations and increasing community involvement. “We've been so fortunate to grow our sale into one of the biggest in the region so we feel it’s important to use this exposure to give back and benefit our shoppers' communities."

"I love shopping for my three kids but they seem to grow out of their clothes in a week! We end up going through a very large amount of clothing in a very short amount of time and it is getting harder and harder to justify the costs," said Layla Jafar Lisiewski, founder at GreenwichMoms.com, in a statement. "Tiny Tots Consignment is a wonderful option for me to keep up with the never-ending turnover. In addition to clothes for my kids, I look forward to getting great deals on baby equipment, furniture and accessories, books, and toys. Good quality, great prices, you can’t beat it."

In addition to a new location, Tiny Tots will launch a new VIP Tagging Service this fall. This service targets families that want to consign but don't have the time to price and transport items to the sale. "Having an event like this makes it so easy for busy moms to clear out unwanted items that still have value" said Brooke Bohnsack, a Greenwich mom of three who co-founded Pitch Your Peers and launched the lifestyle event brand, Statement. She continued, "I spend a lot of time traveling between Greenwich and Manhattan with my three boys so having a service like VIP tagging makes it much easier for parents like me to consign."

Taggers will be sent to the consignor home to hang, price, tag, and deliver consignor's items to be sold at the Sale with a $15 supply fee. Consignors who use the optional tagging service will earn 40% of their total items that are sold.
