“Together We Shine” Red Carpet Celebration for Abilis Huge Succes
Roaring Twenties Themed Event Celebrated Differences, Abilities, Needs and Dreams
More than 100 local students and members of Abilis attend the second annual Together We Shine red carpet event at the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich. The event was put on by the Greenwich Junior United Way (GJrUW) – in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich and the Greenwich YWCA for Abilis.
“’Together We Shine’ was an incredibly special evening for everyone involved, bringing together high school students and Abilis members for a fun night celebrating the differences, abilities, needs and dreams in everyone,” said Amanda Finn, GJrUW Program Coordinator.
“Having a special night out and walking the red carpet was very exciting for our Abilis clients,” noted Amy Montimurro, CEO and president of Abilis. “Also the experience of being pampered with special clothes to wear, hair and makeup sessions before the event and even new shoes to wear, in addition to the ride in limousines and with car services, made the evening one of the most memorable.”
