Tractor Trailer Overturns On I-95 In Greenwich: FD

GREENWICH, CT — An overturned truck was among three tractor trailer-related incidents firefighters responded to Tuesday on Interstate 95. According to firefighters, the overturned tractor trailer resulted in fuel spilling out onto the highway.

Three fire engines responded to the incident, firefighters said on Facebook.

According to the Greenwich Time, the incident occurred near exit 4 after the truck collided with a passenger vehicle. No major injuries were reported Tuesday.

The other two truck accidents occurred within a short distance of the major incident in Cos Cob, according to the Greenwich Time. Drivers attempting to avoid the accidents ended up on local roads, which caused heavy traffic congestion along Route 1 throughout the day.
