GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Department of Public Works will soon begin a traffic safety improvement project at the intersection of Valley Road and Nassau Place. Construction is set to begin the week of April 13.
The project is part of DPW's town-wide Traffic Safety Implementation Program.
The project aims to shorten pedestrian crossing distances, improve visibility at the intersection, calm traffic along Valley Road, and enhance the overall safety for residents and visitors.

Planned upgrades include curb extensions and the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs) to support safer pedestrian crossings, according to DPW.
Construction is expected to take approximately two months to complete.
