Tree Removal On Merritt Parkway This Weekend: CT DOT

Crews will be cutting down trees in Greenwich and Stamford.

State crews will be cutting down trees along the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich and Stamford this weekend, Oct. 6 and 7, according to the Connecticut Department of Transportation.

Trees will be removed from 6 a.m. to noon on both days on both the northbound and southbound sides, and the project will consist "of cutting dead trees, high limbing and clearing signs."

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 15 Northbound and Southbound in Greenwich and Stamford between Exit 31 (North Street #1) and Exit 33 (Den Road #1). A movable sign pattern will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
