Trump Official From Greenwich Under Scrutiny For Private Jet Usage: Report

GREENWICH, CT — The use of private jets by Greenwich resident Linda McMahon, currently head of the federal Small Business Administration, has come under scrutiny since recent disclosures of such travel by Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price, reports Buzzfeed News.

A spokesperson for McMahon told the publication that her use of both private jets and commercial flights is "in accordance with all federal regulations and guidelines relating to travel for government officials."

How McMahon's air travel is paid for, however, is not entirely clear. Two different spokespersons for the former WWE CEO gave differing accounts, one saying that she could not provide further details, and one saying that McMahon has personally paid the difference between the cost of a commercial flight and a private jet.

Price's use of private jets for government travel, deemed by some to border on the excessive, came to light in a recent story in Politico.
