Of Two Minds: A New Exhibit by Greenwich Artist Heather Sandifer
Of Two Minds: Monotypes and Abstracts by Heather Sandifer, will be exhibited at Les Beaux Arts through May 11
Heather Sandifer, a textile designer and botanical artist, is exhibiting her latest collection of monotypes and abstract paintings at Les Beaux Arts Gallery through Thursday, May 11, 2017.
Sandifer is inspired by nature, especially plants which she collects and preserves. "I am a hunter/gatherer,” she explains. “My botanical monotypes are a study of true collaboration between artist and subject. Abstract art, on the other hand, is a conversation I have with myself, expressed on canvas."
Sandifer graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in textile design and the New York Botanical Garden in Art and Illustration. Her art work has been featured at Holly/Hunt, Chicago, the Center for Contemporary Printmaking, and several area galleries.
