U.S. Rep. Jim Himes To Speak At Christ Church Greenwich
U.S. Rep. Jim Himes will offer an overview of the United States' current security posture and its role in ongoing global conflicts.

GREENWICH, CT — Christ Church Greenwich will host a free public discussion with Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT), on Wednesday, March 11.
The event, titled "Is the U.S. More or Less Secure in 2026?", is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in the Christ Church Parish Hall at 254 East Putnam Ave.

Himes, a Greenwich resident who represents Connecticut’s 4th District in the United States House of Representatives, is serving his ninth term. He serves as Ranking Member of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, and on the House Financial Services Committee.
During the discussion, Himes will offer an overview of the United States’ current security posture and its role in ongoing global conflicts.

Topics are expected to include security conditions in the Western Hemisphere, Greenland, the status of the NATO alliance, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Middle East and the Indo-Pacific region.
Following his remarks, Himes will take questions from the audience.
"As a longstanding faith leader in the Greenwich community committed to thoughtful, civil dialogue and open to voices and perspectives from all sides of important public conversations, Christ Church Greenwich is honored to host this timely discussion on national and global security," the church said in a news release.
