USA For Ukraine Partners With Jersey Mike's Subs In Riverside

GREENWICH, CT — USA for Ukraine is partnering with Jersey Mike's Subs in Riverside on Black Friday, Nov. 24.

Residents can stop by the Jersey Mike's location at 1245 E. Putnam Ave., for a free sub from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Donations are welcome and will be accepted on location, with proceeds benefiting humanitarian and animal aid in Ukraine.

USA for Ukraine was started by Greenwich residents Olga Litvinenko and Dr. Inna Lazar. The organization is dedicated to providing direct aid for those affected by the war, and directing people to the appropriate channels of charity.

Greenwich also established a sister city relationship with the Ukraine city of Izyum in April with the help of Litvinenko and Lazar. A portion of proceeds raised on Friday will help the Izyum community and others who need help.

Additionally, a portion of donations will be allocated to Rabbi Raphel Rutman's efforts with a focus on orphaned children.
