Vehicle Reported Stolen In Greenwich: PD

GREENWICH, CT — An unlocked 2010, silver Ford Flex was reported stolen from the driveway of a home on Hendry Drive in Greenwich Wednesday night, according to Greenwich police.

In addition to the vehicle being unlocked at the time, the keys had also been left inside. However, the vehicle was recovered within hours "in another jurisdiction," said Greenwich police.

Details on how and where the vehicle was recovered were not disclosed, nor was the vehicle's condition.

The theft is one of the latest in what has become a rash of vehicle thefts from affluent communities over the past year. In New Canaan Wednesday morning, two vehicles were reported stolen, one of which was recovered in New Haven hours later.
