GREENWICH, CT — A vehicle stolen from a Greenwich Avenue parking lot Friday morning was later found abandoned on Interstate 95, according to police. Lt. John Slusarz said a 2012 Ford Escape was parked behind the Havemeyer Building at 290 Greenwich Avenue and was reported stolen around 7:45 a.m.

The keys to the car were left inside the vehicle and the doors were unlocked, Slusarz said.

"Someone went to work, parked their car and went inside for a couple hours," Slusarz said to Patch. "They came outside to put something in the car and saw [the vehicle] wasn't there."
