GREENWICH, CT — In anticipation of Thanksgiving and the upcoming holiday season, Veronica Beard, a women's designer clothing store which has a location in Greenwich, will donate ten percent of all in-store sales on Wednesday, Nov. 17 to Feeding America, the largest hunger-relief organization in the United States.

Through a network of more than 200 food banks, 21 statewide food bank associations and over 60,000 partner agencies, food pantries and meal programs, Feeding America has helped to provide 6.6 billion meals to tens of millions of people in need last year, according to a news release from Veronica Beard.

In the last year alone, the news release said, one in five people in the U.S. turned to a food bank or a charitable food program for help — a 50 percent increase from the previous year.
