From WeLoveU: On Sunday, March 10, 2019, 40 volunteers from the International WeLoveU Foundation (WeLoveU) visited the Nathaniel Witherell—a short-term rehab and skilled nursing care center. The volunteers prepared an afternoon full of entertainment and companionship with those who helped build up today’s communities through their hard work and dedication. This effort is part of WeLoveU’s social welfare initiative, holding consolatory parties for senior citizens who devoted their lives to their families.

“Although residents and their family members kept thanking us, we really want to thank them as they have dedicated their lives to caring for their families and bettering our communities with their wisdom and consideration,” said WeLoveU Volunteer Carly Adames.
The International WeLoveU Foundation has hosted dozens of consolatory events for senior citizens since 2001 when the organization was founded by Chairwoman Zahng Gil-jah in South Korea. To date, volunteers tally nearly 300,000 in more than 75 countries. In 2018 alone, volunteers in the East Coast region of the organization volunteered more than 8,700 man hours, equal to approximately one year’s worth of community service activities. The members of the WeLoveU Foundation will continue spreading the love of a mother by carrying out meaningful, heartfelt volunteer services throughout Connecticut and throughout the global village.
