Volunteers Sought For Greenwich Architectural Review Committee

GREENWICH, CT — Volunteers are being sought for the Greenwich Architectural Review Committee.
The committee, also known as ARC, evaluates proposed construction, renovations, and development of commercial and multi-family projects.
"This is a unique opportunity to help shape the visual character and design quality of our community by reviewing proposed construction, renovations, and development of commercial and multi-family projects," a posting on the ARC web page of the town website says.

"We welcome individuals with a background or strong interest in architecture, design, planning, construction, landscaping, or historic preservation. Board members play a vital role in ensuring that new projects align with our community’s values and aesthetic goals," the posting said. "Applicants must be residents of the Town of Greenwich. If you’re passionate about thoughtful design and civic engagement, we encourage you to apply and make a lasting impact on the built environment of our town."
In his weekly newsletter to the community on Friday, First Selectman Fred Camillo encouraged anyone who has an interest to volunteer.

"The ARC is a critical committee that provides advisory opinions to the Planning and Zoning Commission. The ARC’s word carries real weight, so this is an opportunity for residents to help shape the visual character and design quality of Greenwich," Camillo said.
