Water Main Cleaning Project Begins In Greenwich
The project is expected to last 12 weeks. Customers in affected areas may notice temporary low pressure or discoloration in their water.

GREENWICH, CT — Aquarion Water Company recently announced a water main cleaning project in the company’s Greenwich system, which is slated to begin Monday, May 15, through Friday, Aug. 4.
During this time period, customers may notice temporary low pressure or discoloration in their water. This discoloration results from the temporary disturbance of the water flow, which stirs up naturally occurring minerals that settle in water mains.
Aquarion recommends customers store water in their refrigerators for drinking and cooking. Customers should also refrain from washing laundry if water is discolored. Prior to resuming use, customers should run their cold-water faucets until the water appears clear.
