Connecticut Weather: Snow Finally Returns To The Forecast

For those of you hoping for snow, there's finally some hope for you in Connecticut's upcoming weather forecast.

For those of you patiently waiting for Connecticut's first real snow of the season, WTNH News 8 Meteorologist Gil Simmons offers you some hope. Simmons used the term "weather drama" in his weather forecast today saying next weekend could be when we see some snow in the state.

Before we get to next weekend, the temps will remain very warm in Connecticut and we could even approach 60 degrees on Tuesday. Temps will start to nosedive fast Wednesday night, which will set the stage for a potentially interesting forecast next weekend.

"I hope you are having a good Sunday! Clouds & 40s today. Warmer through midweek with some 50s & rain. Weather drama builds for Friday-next weekend. A couple of offshore systems may attempt to produce our first snow chances of the season! Will be updating you all week on this! Lots of time for changes but the cold weather will be here. Have a good day & let’s see how this plays out!"

NBC Connecticut Meteorologist Darren Sweeney said, "Our next cold front is on the map for Wednesday. It brings us some early rain and then colder air. A few wet flakes behind the front are possible. Colder end to the week." He added, "Signs of winter cold finally look to take over by the end of the week."
