Weeden & Co. Appoints Chief Technology Officer
The Greenwich-based firm has hired Sanjay Kumar who was a managing director of UBS.
The Greenwich-based trading and brokerage firm Weeden & Co., LP announced Monday that Sanjay Kumar has been appointed Chief Technology Officer.
In his position, Kumar will play a key role in shaping Weeden’s technology strategy as the company continues to expand their products and services. Kumar will be based in Greenwich and report directly to the firm's COO, Christopher J. Mahler.
“Sanjay is a key addition to our world-class leadership team and his knowledge and expertise enhances our ability to provide our clients with cutting-edge technology,” said Mahler. “He is an accomplished technology management executive with a proven track record of successful revenue generation. Sanjay’s leadership will be invaluable as we continue to improve and grow our business.”

Kumar also has served as a Managing Director at UBS Investment Bank and a managing director at Royal Bank of Canada and as first vice president of Global Equities Portfolio & Electronic trading technology at Merrill Lynch & Co.
