Winner Crowned In 2017 Greenwich Men’s Town Tournament

The 24-year-old had placed second four consecutive years.

GREENWICH, CT — Jason Morilla, 24, was victorious Sunday, June 25, in the 73rd Annual Greenwich Men's Town Golf Tournament, finally finishing first after four consecutive years of second-place showings, reports the Greenwich Time.

Morilla shot a 6-under-par 148 for the two-round tourney, besting second-place finishers Joe Nethercott and Colin Cassidy by seven strokes; the pair tied for second with scores of 155.

The tournament was played at Griffith E. Harris Golf Course, where Morilla trailed leader Ben Ropiak by three strokes heading into Sunday. Morilla finished with rounds of 77 (Saturday) and 71 (Sunday).
