Woman Charged With Manslaughter In Greenwich Overdose Death: Police

Police said the arrest stems from a drug overdose death that occurred in November 2023.

GREENWICH, CT — A 43-year-old woman was charged Wednesday in connection with a fatal overdose that occurred in Greenwich in November 2023, according to police.

Maria Eladia Noesi, of the Bronx, N.Y., was picked up from Rikers Island by Greenwich police officers on a warrant that charges her with second-degree manslaughter, first-degree reckless endangerment and sale of a narcotic substance, her arrest report shows.

Noeei was unable to post a court-set bond of $500,000.

On Nov. 12, 2023, police responded to a home on the western side of town on a report of an unresponsive 40-year-old man who was later declared dead, police said.

Items found at the scene suggested drugs were involved, and an investigation found that drugs were provided to the decedent by Noesi, police said.

Noesi is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior court on April 10.
