Woman Drove While Intoxicated, Assaulted Medic: Greenwich Police
Police said a Greenwich woman is accused of driving while intoxicated and assaulting a medic while being taken to a hospital.

GREENWICH, CT — A Greenwich woman accused of driving while intoxicated and assaulting a medic earlier this year was arrested on a warrant Tuesday, according to police. In a statement, police said an investigation revealed Bridget Palazzo, 33, of Greenwich, drove "under the influence of narcotics and alcohol" in the area of Hamilton Avenue on Jan. 18.
"Th investigation also revealed that Palazzo unlawfully restrained and assaulted a female passenger," police said in a statement.
When officers located Palazzo, they decided she needed medical attention "due to her intoxicated state" and was taken to Greenwich Hospital, police said. While being transported to the hospital, Palazzo assaulted a Greenwich Emergency Medical Service medic, according to police.

Officers also took an inventory of Palazzo's vehicle and found she was in possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Palazzo was charged with first-degree unlawful restraint, third-degree assault, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated and assaulting an EMT.
