Woman Slashed Man In Face With Knife During Altercation, Greenwich Police Say
The man suffered a "severe laceration" to his face, according to police.

GREENWICH, CT — A woman slashed a man in the face with a knife during an altercation late last month, according to the Greenwich Police Department.
Kenia Guardado-Lainez, 28, of Greenwich, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, and first-degree assault, a felony, her arrest report notes.
On June 30 shortly after 6:30 p.m., Greenwich police officers responded to a home on the west side of town on a report of a physical altercation between a male and female, police explained in an arrest report.

"[The] investigation revealed that there was a heated verbal argument that turned physical," police wrote in an arrest report. "The offender, Kenia Lisseth Guardado-Lainez, grabbed a knife during the incident and slashed the victim in his face causing a severe laceration."
Guardado-Lainez was unable to post a $100,000 bond, and she remains in custody as of Tuesday, the CT Judicial Branch website says. She's scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Sept. 8.
