Women's Self-Defense Classes Offered By Greenwich Police
The classes begin in October, and the registration fee is $45.

GREENWICH, CT — The Greenwich Police Department's Silver Shield Association is sponsoring Women's Self-Defense Classes on Monday and Wednesday nights from Oct. 15 through Nov. 14, organizers announced.
Registration for the classes is $45, and there are two sessions, 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m to 9:15 p.m.
All classes will be held at Greenwich Police Headquarters at 11 Bruce Place, and all participants must undergo a background inquiry. The classes are open to residents and non-residents, but Greenwich residents will receive priority consideration.

"Learn proven techniques and bolster your confidence in self-defense situations," organizers wrote in a statement. "Identity your physical and psychological limitations and learn to overcome both."
