YMCA of Greenwich Junior Board Sending Kids to Camp
Cinco de YMCA-O Event Raises Funds for BANC Summer Camp Scholarships

The YMCA of Greenwich Junior Board held another successful fundraising event, Cinco do YMCA-O at Barcelona restaurant on May 5. The group surpassed their $3,500 fundraising goal to provide scholarships for the YMCA Summer Camp, which operates out of the Byram Archibald Neighborhood Center (BANC).
“We are incredibly thankful to Barcelona for donating both their beautiful space and Cinco-de-Mayo themed food and drinks!” Explained Junior Board Director, Ann Cipoletti, “They made the event so festive and everyone had a great time”.
More than 50 people attended the event to raise funds for the YMCA’s BANC scholarship fund, which will enable youth to enroll in a fun and stimulating summer program that they would otherwise be unable to afford. This was the second major event for the Junior Board, who has been successful in creating fun ways for young professionals to support the YMCA.
“We’re thrilled with the Junior Board’s enthusiasm and their success raising funds for some of our key initiatives,” explained Ed Philipp CEO of the YMCA, “This time of year, it is especially important for us to raise funds for scholarship programs so that we can provide a safe environment for our youth during the summer.”
