YWCA Greenwich welcomes Cos Cob students

YWCA Greenwich will welcome Cos Cob elementary school students for full day programs this week while school repairs are being sorted out.

Wednesday 10.October.2018: YWCA Greenwich will welcome students from Cos Cob Elementary School for full day programs this week to support parents in need of a safe place for children while repairs at the school are sorted out. The YWCA student program will be open from 8:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for parents to drop off their children. Reservations are not required. Parents should simply bring their child or children to the Member Services desk and a YWCA after-school staff member will be there to greet them.

“We hope these arrangements will allow children to maintain normal schedules, while supporting working parents and others who have commitments,” said Mary Lee Kiernan, President and CEO, YWCA Greenwich. “YWCA Greenwich is offering these accommodations for no charge, and we will continue to work with the school district to accommodate the situation as we go into next week.”

Children will have a full day of activities, including sports, arts and crafts, STEAM Lab, and more.
