ID Released Of Driver Killed After Car Hits Mobile Home In Groton

On Friday, Groton police were called to Eastwood Mobile Homes after a car crashed into a mobile home, dislodging it from its foundation.

UPDATE: The person who died in the accident was Dorothy L. Bronson, 83, of Groton, WFSB 3 TV reported. Bronson was the driver of the car. The person inside the mobile home was not injured.

GROTON, CT — A person was killed Friday when the car they were driving crashed into a mobile home in Groton.

Just before 2 p.m. Friday, police were called to Eastwood Mobile Homes at 301 Buddington Rd. after a 2007 Toyota Avalon crashed into a mobile home, causing the structure to dislodge from its foundation, The New London Day reported.

Police told The Day the Toyota appeared to be traveling downhill from the upper to the lower lot of the mobile home park when the crash happened.

The driver of the car was found unresponsive and later died at the hospital, The Day reported. A person inside the mobile home at the time of the crash was not injured.
