$184.5 Million Groton School Construction Plan Approved by Voters
As votes were tallied on Election night, residents also approved a high-priced school construction plan.

GROTON, CT – While votes for many local elections were being tallied Tuesday, an important plan involving local schools was also met with approval, The Day reported.
Residents approved a $184.5 million school construction plan on Election Night, according to The Day. The referendum was passing 6,183 to 5,519 as of 10 p.m. on Tuesday night.
The plan would build one new middle school adjacent to Robert E. Fitch High School, as reported by The Day. Two existing middle school would also be converted into renovated elementary schools.
