2 Dead In Fiery Crash On Interstate 95 In Groton
Connecticut State Police said the crash happened Friday night when a truck left the road and crashed into a guardrail.

GROTON, CT — Two people are dead after the truck they were in collided with a guardrail on Interstate 95 and burst into flames.
Connecticut State Police said a Dodge Ram pickup was traveling north on I-95 near Exit 87 around 9:20 p.m. when the crash occurred. According to police, as the driver exited the interstate, the truck drove off the ramp and collided with a guardrail and a tree.
Shortly after the crash, police said the truck became engulfed in flames. Both the driver and a passenger died at the scene, authorities said.

Police did not release the victims' identities. The crash remains under investigation.
