2 Stabbed In Armed Robbery Attempt At Groton Business, Police Say
A worker and customers attempted to intervene in the robbery, police said.
GROTON, CT — Police are searching for two suspects following a knifepoint attempted robbery that left two injured in Groton, police said.
The Groton Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from an employee at 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
The caller reported that two men had entered Accessory Warehouse, a tire shop at 375 Route 12, and attempted to rob him.

The caller said one of the suspects had a long knife and that he "believed he had been stabbed," according to police.
Both suspects fled on foot, then left the area in a vehicle.

One of the victims was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
An initial police investigation found that two men had entered the tire shop and tried to rob the victim at knifepoint. Another worker and customers intervened in the robbery attempt, causing the suspects to flee.
Police are investigating.
