3 Men In Hoodies, Masks Rob Walgreens Of Drugs With Cop In Store: PD
The officer was in another part of the store, ran to the pharmacy and ordered the men who'd jumped the counter to "stop," but they got away.
GROTON, CT — Three men wearing hoodies and face coverings robbed the Long Hill Road Walgreens of prescription narcotics Wednesday while a Groton Town Police Department officer was inside the store, police said.
After the men jumped the pharmacy counter and grabbed "specific prescription narcotics," the officer, who had been doing a store walk-through, was alerted.
Police said he ran to the pharmacy and ordered the men to "stop," but they fled the store. The officer gave chase, but the three got away in a dark-colored Toyota Camry sedan, with North Carolina tags. After investigating, police learned the license plate, NC registration number JHE1351, did not match the vehicle, police said.
